Wheelly.ai is built on the principle that your data is yours. This page describes both our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.

It covers the Wheelly.ai desktop application and this website (wheelly.ai). It also explains what changes when you choose to use third-party AI providers instead of a local model.

Terms of use

By downloading, installing, or using Wheelly.ai, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy on this page.

You are responsible for how you use the app and for complying with applicable laws, contracts, and workplace policies. You may not use the service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.

AI output notice

Generative AI may produce incorrect, incomplete, biased, or outdated outputs. You must review and verify all outputs before relying on them for personal, professional, legal, medical, financial, or other important decisions.

Wheelly.ai is a productivity tool, not a substitute for professional judgment.

The app & your text

When configured with a local model, Wheelly.ai runs AI processing on your device. In that local mode, when you select text and trigger an action:

• The text is processed locally, on your machine, by a model running on your hardware
• No text, document content, or clipboard data is ever transmitted to our servers or any third party
• We have no visibility into what you write, select, or process
• The app works fully offline after the initial model download

No account is required to use the app. We do not log usage of built-in or custom actions.

Third-party AI providers (non-local models)

If you choose to use a non-local model (for example, ChatGPT or another external provider), the text you submit for processing is sent outside your device to that provider.

In that scenario, data is processed by the third-party provider under its own privacy policy and terms. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party data practices.

Website data

When you visit wheelly.ai, we may collect basic, anonymized analytics to understand how people find and use the site — such as page views, referral sources, and device type. This data contains no personal identifiers and is not used for advertising.

If you contact us by email, we collect:

• Your email address (and any name or signature you include), used solely to respond to your message
• The content of your message

We do not sell, rent, or share this information with third parties.

Microsoft Store

Wheelly.ai is distributed through the Microsoft Store. When you download or make a purchase, Microsoft's own privacy policy governs that transaction. We receive only aggregate, non-personal data from the Store (such as regional download counts) to understand distribution. We do not receive your Microsoft account details or payment information.

Cookies

This website uses only essential cookies required for the site to function correctly. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or any cookie-based profiling.

Data retention

Email inquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond to your request, after which they are deleted. Anonymized website analytics are retained for up to 12 months.

Limitation of liability

Wheelly.ai is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wheelly.ai and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, business, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the app, website, AI outputs, or third-party providers.

If applicable law does not allow parts of this limitation, liability is limited to the minimum amount permitted by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you. To make a request, contact us at privacy@wheelly.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Children

Wheelly.ai is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy and Terms of Use from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. For significant changes, we will make a reasonable effort to provide notice. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
